The solution to losing weight and gaining lean muscle isn't "losing weight and gaining lean muscle". There are areas in your life that are making your goal much harder than it needs to be. What you first step SHOULD be is identifying those areas and making the proper changes. This is where you address some of the challenges or struggles your avatar might be facing. Then I found my calling. Today, I've been in the world of fitness and health for almost 7 years now and training for over 4 of those years.
When I started coaching I remember my very first client being so upset every time she failed at something. Whether the scale didn't go down or she couldn't lift the weight she previously could. It didn't matter; she viewed it as a failure.
And that's when it hit me. Every single one of us are going to have stalemates, setbacks, and failures. But that's part of the journey! Without those things do you really think it would be worth it? NO! IT'S HARD, NOT EASY!
That's why the feeling of accomplishment is so unfathomably great. You pushed through some of the hardest times to get to the other end. You embraced the failure!
